This is a tough question to answer, and one that nearly all families have.
Kids’ reluctance to eat vegetables can be thought of on a spectrum from:
– typical kid behavior to…
– food neophobia (rejection of foods because they are unfamiliar) to…
– “picky eater” to…
– frank food aversion
Experts agree that repeated exposures, offering foods without pressure or pleading, and getting kids involved in meal preparation can slowly lead to new food acceptance.
EasyPeasie Veggie Blends, which are virtually undetectable when sprinkled on foods, allow for repeated, discreet exposures to a variety of vegetables. Kids can even sprinkle it on food themselves, increasing their interest!
EasyPeasie Veggie Blends are our custom blends of all natural vegetable powders. Vegetable powders are simply vegetables which are thoroughly dried, then ground. The vegetables in each EasyPeasie blend are specially selected to maximize nutrition and minimize the “veggie taste”. When sprinkled on foods, EasyPeasie is virtually undetectable!
No. All dehydrated foods have less water-soluble nutrients than the whole foods from which they are derived. But fiber, minerals, and other water-insoluble vitamins and nutrients are maintained. Our ultimate goal, like that of all parents, is to get kids to eat both an adequate number and variety of whole vegetables. Think of EasyPeasie as a bridge to that goal, providing wholesome vegetable nutrition along the way.
Well, yes and no. All of our recipe development is done in our kitchens and sampled amongst us, our family, and friends. The final products on our website and available to you, the consumer, are produced and packaged in American facilities under FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and regulations.
Children with allergies to any of the ingredients of EasyPeasie should not have EasyPeasie. Here is the list of other allergens packaged in the same facility. Children with severe allergies may need to avoid foods even present in the same facility as the food to which they are allergic. Please consult your pediatrician or allergist for specific advice.
EasyPeasie is not a raw product in the strictest sense. Dehydrated vegetables are heated to higher temperatures than most strict raw food consumers would use. If you or your child have medical reasons to avoid raw vegetables (i.e. neutropenic precautions), you should consider EasyPeasie as you would other fresh vegetable products.
We recommend sprinkling EasyPeasie Veggie Blends on foods and snacks your kids already love! EasyPeasie also mixes into hot or cold drinks! Check out Easy Ways to Use EasyPeasie.
Many recipes say season to taste; we like to say season to non-taste. Add as much as you like until the taste becomes noticeable. Start with a half a teaspoon or a few shakes and work your way up.

Our commercial kitchen partners work with American and international farms (Europe, South America) to obtain the best veggies at peak season. We allow our partners to source veggies from farms where they have established relationships, always prioritizing American farms for our blends.
Vegetable serving sizes for children vary by age (see this American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) reference). Many families ask us how much EasyPeasie their kids need everyday. This table shows how much EasyPeasie preschool-aged kids need to meet their minimum recommended veggie amounts.
Keep in mind that there is no such thing as eating too many veggies! Use EasyPeasie to get in extra veggie nutrition wherever you can. But don’t forget to keep doing your best to get those whole veggies on the plate!
For children 1-3 years, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recommends 1 adult serving of vegetables per day (= 3-4 toddler servings). For older children (up to 8 years), the USDA recommends 1.5 adult servings.
Like other dried food products and spices, EasyPeasie is best stored in a cool, dry, dark place.
It’s for kids and adults! While primarily for kids who are learning to love vegetables, adults who want to add extra vegetable nutrition to their meals also use EasyPeasie. They take advantage of its long shelf life and use it as “veggies on the go”. An easy guideline for adults is 1 tablespoon of EasyPeasie Natural Veggie Blends adds about 1/2 a cup of veggies to your favorite smoothie and other meals! One and a half (1.5) tablespoons of EasyPeasie Plus, Green Blend adds 1 whole cup of veggies!
