And here's your detailed recipe!

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F or 45°C)
  • 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt

For the Sauce:

  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons EasyPeasie Green Blend

For the Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions
  • Additional toppings of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water and sprinkle the yeast over the top. Let it sit for 10 minutes, or until it becomes frothy. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Stir until the mixture forms a dough. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until smooth. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, sauté the garlic for 1-2 minutes. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and sugar. Let it simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in the EasyPeasie Green Blend until well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
  4. Shape the Pizza: Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll the dough into your desired pizza shape and thickness. If you're using a pizza stone, transfer the rolled dough onto a pizza peel or an inverted baking sheet dusted with flour or cornmeal. If not, place the rolled dough onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Add Toppings: Spread a generous amount of the veggie-boosted sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Add the bell peppers, mushrooms, black olives, red onions, and any other toppings of your choice.
  6. Bake: Transfer the pizza (using the pizza peel or inverted baking sheet) onto the preheated pizza stone in the oven. If you're not using a pizza stone, simply place your baking sheet in the oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  7. Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice and enjoy your homemade veggie-boosted pizza!

Note: The addition of EasyPeasie Green Blend in the sauce not only enhances the flavor but also adds a nutritional boost to your pizza. This is a great way to incorporate more veggies into a family-favorite meal!
